Brad Bafaro is the Founder and Executive Director of the Community Based Activity Program (est. 1990), Adventures Without Limits (est. 1995), The Companion Program (est. 2000), and Oregon GreenThumb Landscape (est. 2007).

Brad graduated from Pacific University beginning his career with Forest Grove School District as a Physical Education Teacher. His path soon led him to his passion to serve those with disabilities as he became an Adaptive Physical Education Specialist, Special Education Facilitator, then ending his career as the Director of Special Education. In the late 1980’s and 1990’s Brad worked as a leader to develop and implement an inclusive model for students with disabilities; traveling the United States for the US Department of Special Education and the Oregon Department of Education teaching effective programming and supports for successful inclusion. Brad later returned to Alma Mater as an Adjunct Instructor teaching Adaptive Physical Activity for 16 years.

In Brad’s “retirement” he continues to serve the non-profits as the Executive Director, as well as being elected to the Forest Grove School District School Board, and serving on the City of Forest Grove Recreation Commission. Brad loves the outdoors and loves to travel.

Brad’s mission has, and always will be, to create natural systems and programs that support successful access for ALL people into our communities, our schools, our relationships, our workplace, and in recreation.

My name is Beth Buehler and I started with CBAP in 2008. I have worked as the Program Coordinator for the past 12 years and have loved every minute of it. Although I don’t get the opportunity to be onsite as much as I used to, my love for the program encompasses everything I do in life. I love the outdoors and love to explore new places. We are so fortunate to live in the PNW finding new adventures everywhere we turn. I have a daughter who attends University of Montana and is working towards her career as a SLP, and a son who attends Pacific University and is working toward his career in Special Education. There is no doubt in my mind that this program influenced their career choices.
